Our View Of Running Changes As We Evolve ~
Each time we run we have a slightly different experience. That’s one of the really cool things about it.
As we change and evolve, and change our perspective on life, our perspective of why and how we run also changes.
When Gabe Jennings won the 1500 meter race in the 2000 Olympic trials, he said this of his experience that day:
“I feel the earth and the wind and the trees. I feel its spirit. It puts me in the moment. I feel the rhythm of the race. It’s like music. When the rhythm gets dissonant and chaotic, it is either a jazzy force behind me or demons inside me.”
